Moncef Lakouas

Helping to make the world a better place,
one cause at a time

Moncef Lakouas, who holds a BAA with a concentration in finance and accounting, has over 10 years of professional experience in governance, organizational management and philanthropy. Over the course of his career, he has held a number of key positions. He has been Executive Director of BGC Moncton, President of the New Brunswick Multicultural Council, an organizational design consultant, President of the Fédération des Étudiantes et Étudiants de l’Université de Moncton and a member of the Southeast Region Cooperative Committee of UNI Financial Cooperative.

These different responsibilities have enabled him to develop a deep understanding of the needs of vulnerable populations and to devote his energy to meaningful community projects. Keen to help others, Moncef has always sought to make a positive difference through his community involvement. For him, professional involvement in philanthropy means giving of oneself to those in need. His commitment to philanthropy, forged over more than 10 years of experience, has become a true vocation: to help make the world a better place, one cause at a time.

Helping vulnerable people to become financially independent

Among the community initiatives that have had a profound impact on him, Moncef underlines his pride in the complete transformation of the youth association he led. From a small, little-known entity, it has become a powerful local and regional community movement, dedicated to the well-being of needy youth. Convinced of the transformative potential of the social sector, Moncef aspires to alleviate the emotional and financial burden of people going through difficult times. He particularly enjoys sharing useful resources with the most vulnerable to meet their daily needs.

Facilitating access to education and healthcare

As a committed professional, Moncef has identified a number of challenges in key sectors such as healthcare and the education system. He wants to promote access to quality education and support medical research to combat diseases such as cancer. Touched by the loss of his loved ones to this disease, he is determined to contribute to education, health and immigration initiatives aimed at improving healthcare for all people.

The entire BNP Philanthropic Performance team is delighted to welcome Moncef and to benefit fully from his expertise and passionate commitment.
