Montreal, August 15, 2023 – The entire BNP Philanthropic Performance team is pleased to welcome Marc-Antoine Bélanger as a consultant in philanthropy and government relations. He will provide strategic thinking and support to organizations in Quebec City and the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec.
Politics that serve the community
Since 2014, Marc-Antoine has been involved in politics. During his years at Cégep de Sainte-Foy he studied business management, he accomplished two internships abroad (a first in Jerusalem, Israel to understand the Israeli-Palestinian and global conflicts and a second in France to familiarize himself with the workings of the French political system) and now he is completing a bachelor’s degree.
He progressed within government bodies before becoming a development advisor, then a political advisor. In these roles he supported many organizations with their applications for funding from the Government of Quebec. In addition, he helped to humanize the role of Member of Parliament by creating video capsules on the role and responsibilities of an elected official.
“ The arrival of Marc-Antoine to the BNP Philanthropic Performance team will benefit all of our clients who need, more than ever, to diversify their funding strategies, including how to acquire funds from government budget envelopes. His commitment, his professional network and his expertise will be considerable assets,” stated Daniel H. Lanteigne, Vice-President, Talent, Strategy and Impact.
Philanthropy, a family tradition
Marc-Antoine has been immersed in the community since his early childhood. In fact, his grandfather took care of the Anse-Tibbits skating rink in Lévis on a volunteer basis so that the community could take full advantage of it. Then, Marc-Antoine and his father continued the family’s involvement in leisure activities contributing to the well-being of Lévis residents.
To master the workings of organizations, Marc-Antoine has also been involved with various boards of directors and has acquired knowledge of governance. Moreover, he has training in the governance of NPOs from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés.
Now, Marc-Antoine wants to help organizations understand their daily challenges and support them in concretizing their projects by joining the BNP Philanthropic Performance team.
He started at BNP on August 14, 2023.
