Marie-Hélène: her Passion for Marketing and her Entrepreneurial Spirit

After completing a bachelor’s degree in communications at the Université de Montréal in 1991, Marie-Hélène went on to complete a diploma in public relations management at McGill University.

She then began her professional career in tourism. In 2001, she joined Tourisme Montréal as Director of Sales for the U.S. and International Markets. Her mission was to manage the European and American markets as well as develop partnerships and organize promotional events for the city abroad.

Marie-Hélène then co-founded Mom Industries, a multidisciplinary production company. Until 2015, she was Vice-President of Business Development and Executive Producer. Her mission was to take charge of business development, marketing, communications, fundraising and sponsorships. She was in charge of the production and organization of events for various NPOs and companies.

Varied Philanthropic Experience

The philanthropic nature of Marie-Hélène’s recent experiences allowed her to join the Variety Quebec Foundation from 2015 to 2016 as Executive Director. Her role was central to the Foundation’s development and implementation in Quebec. She also managed the follow-up and the creation of strategic and financial partnerships. Following this experience, she joined the Quebec Cancer Foundation and the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

Finally, she decided to return to the private sector by becoming Director of Marketing and Client Experience at KPMG. Her last assignment, until today, was to join the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde. She was in charge of developing donations, sponsorships and events for the major campaign called “Deploying the New World”. In addition, she managed the campaign office, the team, the volunteers, negotiated partnerships and developed cultural mediation programs.

These professional experiences in both the public and private sectors have been extremely formative for Marie-Hélène as they have allowed her to adapt her business development approaches to completely different realities. Today, she joins BNP Philanthropic Performance as a Senior Consultant in Philanthropy, Marketing and Business Development.

According to Christian Bolduc, President of BNP Philanthropic Performance, “We are pleased to welcome Marie-Hélène, our newest resource, to our team of philanthropic consultants in Montreal.  She has an eclectic background that will enable organizations to obtain seasoned advice in organizational development, philanthropic strategy and communications.
