Bertin Haché has over 15 years of experience in project management, strategic planning, sales and public relations. He has held several upper management positions and is very involved and well connected within his community, both at a personal and corporate level across the province.
He was Executive Director of the CHU Dumont Foundation from 2003 to 2010, whose main objective is to raise funds to enhance care and services offered to the patients of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital. Because of the Hospital's status as a regional facility, the CHU Dumont Foundation is active throughout New Brunswick, particularly in the southeastern region of the province.
Haché’s main responsibilities was to manage the overall operation, oversee various fundraising campaigns, liaise with the Board of Directors and the Hospital's senior management. He also had to establish and review policies and procedures, developed business relations and partnerships with actual and potential donors and assure the organisation is guided by a strategic and annual work plan.
Under his governance, an important change in the organisational culture of an "event management" approach to one base on "philanthropic principles". There was an increase in the Tree of Hope Campaign from $860,000 in 2003 to $1.6 million in 2009 and an increase in annual income from $1.8 million to $3.2 million. There was a significant increase of the Foundation's profile within the community.
Bertin works as a senior consultant for the Atlantic region.
