THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The Executive Director of the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation will be a dynamic and visionary leader responsible for driving the Foundation’s mission, strategic direction, and fundraising initiatives. This individual will work closely with the Foundation’s Board of Directors, hospital leadership, community stakeholders, and donors to enhance the Foundation’s impact and ensure the sustainability of hospital programs and services. The position plays a leadership role in Physician Recruitment for the community in cooperation with the City of Quinte West and the Municipality of Brighton through the Docs by the Bay program.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Due to an upcoming retirement, TMHF is pleased to offer a full-time salaried position working on-site at the Trenton Memorial Hospital. As a leader in the Quinte area, the incumbent will need to be located within the community within a reasonable time frame.  Local travel will be required on a regular basis.

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPENSATION

The successful applicant will join a vibrant and dedicated team committed to enhancing healthcare services in Trenton and the surrounding communities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet the financial goals of the Foundation.
  • Develop campaign strategy, timeline, campaign prospects, and solicitations.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Foundation staff and volunteers.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership, Quinte Health Care leaders, and community members to identify funding priorities and opportunities.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in financial reporting and donor communications.
  • Represent the Foundation within the community through public speaking engagements and media appearances.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a non-profit organization, preferably in healthcare fundraising.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic fundraising plans and capital campaigns.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, including volunteers, donors, healthcare professionals, and community leaders.
  • A passion for healthcare and community service.
  • Postsecondary education in a related field and/or equivalent experience or CFRE certification is an asset.

Compensation:

  • A friendly and positive working environment;
  • An exceptional total compensation package, including a starting salary between $100,000 and $120,000 and a HOOP pension plan;
